About Us

The Sycamore Tree is a non-profit, 503(c), faith-based child care  which has 2 locations in the greater Hartford area. 

Since 1991, The Sycamore Tree has fused the experience of highly educated teachers and best practices for the education of young children.  We use a combination of the Creative Curriculum and our own theme based curriculum to provide your child with a variety of appropriate, fun and educational experiences.  Preschool instruction is included in all of our childcare programs. 

Our unique Seedling Center—which is a separate wing of our new facility, is dedicated to the special needs of our youngest clients.  Serving children 6 weeks through 3 years old, our Seedling Center is a home away from home for your infant or toddler.  Each classroom is equipped with age appropriate equipment and staffed with professionals trained to care for you child’s physical, social and cognitive development.  4 or 5 day enrollment only.

We also house a 4 year old collaborative program right on site with the cooperation of the local school district. Whether or not your child attends 4k at our site or another, we have options to help you with your wrap-around care needs.  Call for more information.  Part time enrollment is available.

The Sycamore Clubhouse is located only a few short blocks from our main site and houses our older school age program during the summer.  Our current license capacity of 78 children. All meals and field trips are including in this program.  Part time enrollment is welcome.

Beginning fall of 2011, we will once again be offering before and after school (latch key) services at our new facility.  Our school aged children will now have their own space with age appropriate activities to enjoy.  Meals and activities are included.  Part time enrollment is welcome.
